Shark Tank 2020
Watch this video of North Raleigh Ministries and read amazing testimonies from past Shark Tank presenting nonprofits:
"In 2018, we were hoping to take some major steps toward expansion. This represented a large financial risk, but also a huge need in our community. We stood before the 'sharks' with hope but also tremendous uncertainty about our future. Since then, we’ve opened our doors to a second farm in Southeast Raleigh which is set to double our capacity within the first year! This growth will enable CORRAL to see our vision of restoring power to the most vulnerable girls in our community. We are grateful for the opportunity at Shark Tank to widen our reach of supporters that will partner with us in this vision!" – Joy Currey, Executive Director
"At Shark Tank 2018, we launched our campus renovation project and were encouraged by the 'sharks' and generosity of the crowd to dream big! Through Shark Tank we were able to strategically think in a new way that has prepared us to continue to present our mission to the community, but most importantly to present our 'why'. Now we have a new roof, professional leadership for our project, and a growing group of volunteers at the ready!" – Sarah Martin, Executive Director
"NeighborHealth Center was so grateful to be a part of Shark Tank 2019! I can’t believe it has been a year—and what a year it has been! Like many organizations, we experienced a significant downturn in business due to the pandemic. God was faithful and we were provided opportunities for support and funding beyond what we could have imagined. A number of supporters were introduced to us through Shark Tank. Some highlights this year: 1) NHC successfully implemented a telemedicine program, 2) We expanded COVID-19 testing for the community, and 3) Our Women’s Health/Prenatal program has grown exponentially. NHC looks forward to being a support for people in our community for years to come!" – Sue Ellen Thompson, Executive Director
"Shark Tank 2018 was instrumental in helping Raleigh Rescue Mission focus more strategically on our board governance structure and organizational efficiencies. Through our preparation and questions from the 'sharks' – we were challenged in ways that have helped us reach more clients in our community in order to help transform their lives." – John Luckett, Executive Director
"As a result of our Shark Tank 2018 experience, Refugee Hope Partners was able to hire a part-time program coordinator and implement a pilot Bridge program in March of 2019. In August of 2019, our full program launched with 25 high school juniors and seniors matched with mentors. These mentor/mentee matches meet with students monthly as they move toward their post-high school futures. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the refugee community of Raleigh in this way!" – Michele Suffridge, Executive Director
"Shark Tank 2018 was pivotal for us. Key questions related to strategic planning, change theory and board governance helped fine-tune our organizational processes leading to multiple opportunities for growth including our recent launch as a stand-alone ministry which has enable RiverCross to develop a true governing board. We’re grateful to Mission Triangle and to the 'sharks' for the role they have played in helping us develop as a ministry." – Cindy Finley, Executive Director
“When nonprofits are led with business principles, discipline, proper stewardship and strategic planning — the impact they have can be multiplied many, many times over. SHARK TANK helps make this happen.”
2017 Nonprofit Presenter
"What a beautiful picture of the diversity of people who are taking the hope of Jesus to the world. It's been so cool to be a part of SHARK TANK -- to participate with others who are creatively reaching a diverse audience with the Gospel."
"The nonprofits were extremely prepared and made compelling presentations. The sharks asked insightful questions which opened my eyes to the questions I can and should be asking."
